On reaching your place of arrival at railway station or airport in Guwahati you will be greeted by our tour representative. You will be then transferred to your first destination on the itinerary which will be the rhinos country of Kaziranga national park. The whole drive will be 5 hours long by road and on reaching you will immediately be checked in to a wildlife resort in Kaziranga.
Before heading out you will be given some time to freshen up. You will be taken for a brief guided tour through the forest close to your accommodation along the river bank. Before sunset you will be headed back to your hotel for dinner followed by an overnight stay.
Your day will start off really early in the morning, even before breakfast. You will be taken for an elephant safari which is the best way to view wildlife without disturbing them. You will be boarding these elephants at the jeep safari booking points. After some viewing you will be taken back to your resort for breakfast. Post breakfast a jeep safari of the national park will take place. The wildlife viewing will take place in the central zone of the national park. Later on for lunch, you will be headed back to your resort. The second jeep safari of the day will take place post lunch which will cover the western zone of the national park. Finally by sunset you will be headed back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Post breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your wildlife resort in Kaziranga and made to head to your next destination of the day in Shillong via Guwahati. The entire journey will be 6 hours. En route you will be stopping off at Barapani Umiam Lake. Finally on reaching Shillong you will be checked in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. The rest of the time will be free for you to spend in leisure and relax.
Early in the morning post breakfast you will be checked out of your hotel in Shillong and made to head for Cherrapunjee, the wettest destination in the world. The entire road journey will be 65 kms long. Upon reaching Cherrapunjee you will be checked in to your hotel and given some time to relax. After freshening up you will be taken to visit some famous tourist sightseeing destinations of Cherrapunjee like Nohsngithiang falls, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave etc. finally you will be headed back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Early morning, post breakfast and check out you will be taken for a visit to the cleanest village in Asia, which is located just 28 kms away from Cherrapunjee. The scenic little village is a must visit. One can take a tour to the nearby tourist attractions as well like the living roots bridge.
After Mawlynnong you will be taken to Shillong. The entire trip will be close to 3 hours long. En route Shillong you will be visiting places like Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Upon arriving at Shillong after a breathtaking road trip you will be checked in to your hotel here for dinner and an overnight stay.
Post breakfast you will be headed out for a local tour and sightseeing of Shillong. These will include visits to ward lake and Hydari Park. You will then be checked out of your hotel in Shillong and made to head for Guwahati where on arrival you will be checked in to your hotel. For sunset viewing you will be taken for a cruise to the Brahmaputra River. Finally you will be taken back to your hotel in Guwahati for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast and post check out you will be taken to your place of departure, at the railway station or airport. The drop off will mark the end of your Kaziranga with Meghalaya tour with us.
