Tour Itinerary

Welcome to Guwahati! Once you arrive at the Guwahati airport or railway station, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our tour representative.
Now, you’ll be transferred to picturesque Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya!
Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the serene Umiam Lake (Barapani). Do take the stunning photographs of the lake viewpoints and the sylvan hills that surround it. This is the largest artificial lake of Meghalaya, and is perfect for taking a little boating trip here.
Once you arrive in Shillong, check into your hotel and freshen up.
If there’s time, we'll take you to the Lady Hydari Park, which is styled in the Japanese way. The park is adorned with blooming roses and various other kinds of pretty flowers. Do capture the pics of the floral gardens here!
In the evening, take a stroll through the bustling markets of Shillong, such as Police Bazaar. Soak in the cool mountain air all around you!
Later, return to your hotel and get a restful night of sleep.

Have a delicious breakfast in the morning.
After that, we’ll take you to the Elephant Falls. This three-tiered waterfall located near Shillong is the perfect place to kickstart your sightseeing tour!
Laker, we’ll drive you to Cherrapunji, which is also known as the "Scotland of the East"! Referred to as the wettest place on the earth, it’s famous for its limestone caves, living root bridges, and stunning waterfalls!
Once you get there, you’ll be enjoying sightseeing at the following places:
- Seven Sisters Falls: This is the country’s tallest waterfall! Do capture several pictures of this majestic waterfall.
- Mawsmai Cave: Explore this popular limestone cave, for it has some of the most beautiful natural formations. Do take a torch there and capture the interiors of the cave.
- Thangkharang Park: Go there to take in panoramic views of the Bangladesh plains that this park overlooks!
This concludes the sightseeing tour for today. Now, return to Shillong and then continue your journey towards Guwahati, where you will stay for the night.

This last day of the trip is dedicated to the temple tour! Wake up early and start your day by 4 AM.
First of all, we’ll drive you to the Kamakhya Temple, which is located on Nilachal Hill. This is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and therefore holds a huge religious significance. To skip long queues, we recommend buying a VIP pass, which costs INR 501/person.
While you’re there at the Nilachal Hill, take this opportunity to seek blessings at the other revered shrines in the vicinity, such as:

Ans. Yes, boating at Umiam Lake is part of this tour package. You can also indulge in kayaking and water sports here. The lake is open to the public daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Ans. Yes, the Kamakhya temple is open to devotees every day. However, the temple gets closed during the Ambubachi Mela, which is from 22–25 June 2026. Otherwise, it stays open for the rest of the year.

Ans. The best time to visit Meghalaya and go on this tour is hands down in the window of October to April. The weather in this period is pleasant and, therefore is ideal to do sightseeing and going on temple tours. We also advise against coming here in the monsoons due to heavy rainfall.

Ans. Considering the heavy crowds, you might need 2-3 hours for the Darshan process at the shrine. However, if you buy a VIP pass, your Darshan timing may be reduced to just 45 minutes.

Ans. We’ll be visiting the Mawsmai Cave, which is quite safe and well-lit. We highly recommend that you wear comfortable and sturdy shoes to have a trouble-free time in the cave, as the paths can be slippery.
